Buying Guide

Unsure which coffee to purchase? We've put together this guide so that you can select the perfect bag and grind type!

Step 1: Decide on beans or the grind type

The grind of your coffee significantly impacts the flavor and extraction. We offer four options to cover all brewing methods:

  • Whole Beans for bean-to-cup machines or grinding at home.

  • Espresso/Moka Pot for a fine grind that delivers rich, concentrated flavors.

  • Cafetiere for a coarse grind that suits immersion brewing.

  • Filter/V60/Aeropress for a medium grind, perfect for balanced, clean brews.

If unsure, go for the Filter/V60/Aeropress grind—it’s versatile and works well across various brewing methods.

Step 2: Decide on the blend

This is the fun bit, of course you can choose one the label and pick a favourite cricketer or design, but if you want to give flavour some more thought these options might help...

The Crowd Pleasers

These are what we'd consider as house blends in a coffee shop.

Bail-Switch Blend is an easy smooth drinking blend, that works great in lattes, espressos and filter coffee.

Boundary Breaker is balanced with low acidity. The flavour is sweet, creamy smooth and rich. Complimented by dark chocolate flavours.

The Rich, Strong Choice

Brook Blend has a richer body and is roasted so it is close to the 'roasty' flavour without being burnt. If they like strong coffee then they will probably really like this!

Great for: strong espresso, large lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites and frappes.

The Easy Drinker

Our Root Roast is a milder brew that can be enjoyed in large quantities anytime of the day. It is sweet with notes of milk chocolate.

Great for: smooth and rounded filter coffees, small milk based espresso drinks.

The Connoisseur

For something a bit, funkier for people who enjoy trying new flavours we'd recommend The Burnley Espresso. This blend has a huge body and a spicy aroma with hints of tobacco

Great for: strong filter coffee, double espressos and milky based espresso drinks

The Nightowl - our decaf option

For various reasons, many coffee drinkers prefer a decaffeinated brew. However, finding a good decaf coffee isn’t easy. Fear not, though—we’re really proud of our decaf blend, Nightwatchman. In fact, we have a number of regular customers who swear by it!

Except smooth, dark chocolate notes. Great for: smooth lattes, cappuccinos flat whites, and strong filter coffees.

We do have more coffees than this though including limited and seasonal blends, so you can view the full coffee range here:
